About Moran Munchies

Moran Munchies is a Tyler based, family owned, full service vending company offering vending options for snacks, beverages, fresh food, frozen entrees, and ice cream. They also offer Office Coffee Service and rentals of point of use filtered water machines as well as Hoshizaki commercial ice & water machines. Moran Munchies also provides Avenue C markets to those customers whose employment levels qualify.

From its beginning in January 1, 1989 owners, Dale and Patrick Moran have built their business on superior service and quality products. Starting with one truck and operating out of the family garage, Moran Munchies has grown to be one of the largest vending companies in the Tyler area, now operating in eight counties.

In 2007 Moran Munchies became a Canteen franchise. Canteen is the largest vending company in the world. As part of Canteen, Moran Munchies is able to provide world-class service and vending programs to their customers.

Moran Munchies is a very active member of Texas Merchandise Vending Association (TMVA).  Moran Munchies is involved in helping shape the future of the industry by Patrick testifying in Austin before the Joint Interim Committee on Nutrition and Health in Public Schools. Moran Munchies is also an active member of the National Automated Merchandise Association (NAMA) attending conventions and participation in industry related continuing education and legislative events.

Locations currently serviced by Moran Munchies include:  manufacturing facilities, offices, public schools, colleges, nursing homes, utilities, hotels, county offices, and retail outlets.  Moran Munchies tailors both its service and products to fit each location’s unique needs. Service personnel are on call 24/7, with a targeted two-business hours or less response time to handle all service needs. Each location is served by a Moran Munchies trained, uniformed representative whose goal it is to ensure customer satisfaction.  Our employees are dependable, courteous, and responsive to the customer.  This service philosophy has created a satisfied clientele.

Dale Moran

Dale Moran

Dale is the founder and president of Moran Munchies, in business since 1989. Dale has taken a common sense, customer first, fiscally conservative approach to every aspect of the vending business. Before starting his own business, Dale set up offices for two major Para-church ministries in Canada, England, and the United States.

While living in Arizona, he served in the Boy Scout Program and his local fire department, where his last two years were served as Fire Chief.

Dale has served one term as a City Councilman, two terms as Mayor Pro Tem, and three terms as Mayor of Whitehouse. He has served on various boards in the community, including the Whitehouse Community Library, YMCA, advisory boards for two nursing homes, and two Christian ministries. Dale has served on the Smith County Tax Abatement Committee and one term on the Smith County Grand Jury. He is also a six time political delegate to the Texas State Convention and has been a Bible teacher for many years.

Patrick Moran

Patrick Moran

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Evangel University and a Master of Divinity from the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary. He has completed the Executive Development Program at Michigan State University and the Boy Scouts of America Wood Badge Leadership Training Program; the highest level of adult Scout leader training available. Patrick currently serves as the Scoutmaster of Troop 370. He is a former board member of Leadership Tyler and the Whitehouse ISD. He is also Past President and current board member of the Texas Merchandise Vending Association. He enjoys outdoor activities with his family. Patrick and his wife Jane have been married 27 years and have four children.
